In the flatlands of Ct. for a little bit longer.
Thanks for the info. This is what the Salomon website lists for flex:

SPK Kreation 90
SPK Kaos 100
Shogun 100
SPK Pro 110
Ghost 130

For some reason they don't list last dimensions for the SPK models (Shogun and Ghost are both 98mm).

The Salomon website has some good videos of their products as well.
The new Salomon SPK Pro no longer comes in the brokeback mountain brown leather. Now the boot comes in black red and white leather. Maybe Rob Halford designed them.

Starting to consider new boots now.. lol.. especially considering I am using some $150 Nordica things...

Anyhow, I got my booster straps yesterday, threw them on the boot just to sort of test them out and I can feel a noticeable difference in just wearing the boot. Now I need to officially install them over the next day or two..

Will ski Sunday night.. and test them out..

New Boots to the rescue!!

Found myself @ Sugarbush today.. and after looking around for shops selling Full Tilts, I found myself at the Alpine shop accross from Sugarbus.

I also found that this shop had a reputation for being great boot fitters.

Went in, signed the sheet and waited 30 minutes or so before I sat down with the shop owner, Joe... who proceeded to strip me down.. or.. well.. took my socks off and pulled the jeens up..

I never had boots fitted before.. and I learned sooo god damn much today. I didn't need booster straps or a special boot for Shin Bang.. I just needed a boot that fit my foot and leg.

Tried my nordicas on at home yesterday.. figured I would not be able to ski for at least 4 or 5 days with the shin soreness.

Put these new Salomon Falcon Pros on.. and omg.. I could ski right now.

http://www.salomon.com/us/#/ski/boots/boots/falcon-cs-pro-

Guy marked my legs with sharpies.. had freaking plumb bob from my knee to foot.. adjusted the sleeve on one leg (whatever its called).. threw the boots in an oven.. the whole nine yards..

2 hours later.. 2 freaking hours.. and I have boots that are properly fit..

Told him about my boots and must have told me 10 reasons why those are not good for me..

Good stuff... happy as hell.. skiing tomorrow night !

Skied last night..

I must say - huge difference in control and response.. huge.. monufreakingmental.

I swear it was an insane change.

I'll be writing that shop a thank you letter.. no doubt..

Never mind shin bang.. they corrected something else.. something bigger.. my intentions are immediately transferred into the ski.. my turns are noticeable quicker/sharper/more controlled.. my feet have room but yet they do not wash around in the shell at all.. I can get on the balls of my feet if I want to.. my boots are not soo locked down that I have no room.. etc.. blah blah blah... blah blah.. good stuff.. just good stuff...

I am overwhelmed...with the change.

With that, I am off to Vancouver to challenge our Olympians...

Thanks for the tips, ideas and pointing me to spend a fortune on new boots ! lol
