Guessing Kevin, who is often around the base terminal of various lifts at opening time throughout the week, made some comment, maybe even in response to a comment from a likely well known to him guest, about Skiology Matt's false prediction of what their operations will be like yesterday AM. I mean it's not like the head of mountain ops would be getting regular updates from his crew up on the mountain during the storm as well as the numerous weather stations around the mountain as to what the actual conditions were verses just making an estimate from available to all, general region forecasts that the National Weather Service puts out, let alone what the paid forecast service the mountain uses for very specific local forecasts.
You know, for a "one man band" trying to make a living by a ski-related website, I'd think the last thing Matt would want to be doing is pissing off folks in the industry. I mean, Mount Snow is not a small player. It's pretty bad when Mount Snow Management RECOGNIZE HIM in the lift line and call him out.

There's a number of people in the industry that he's pissed off with his attitude and comments over the past few years. Completely agree it makes no sense for him to be doing that...

The resentment of him I hear about by many of my industry friends is very extensive, and not just limited to any 1 mega pass company, it's widespread and even spread to some Mom and Pop places as well.

One of my patroller friends, who works at an independent mountain in MA, went off on a tirade about him and his utter lack of real industry workings with respect to holiday crowds and the ability to attempt to control crowd flow that would probably require an entire line of %^&# and *()&% and $%*#@ substitutions to not get AZ flagged by various censors and bots trying to respond to random text characters! :ROFLMAO:

And then somebody in line, who knows Matt reported that back to him? Interesting approach.

All of this kind of re-inforces my own decision to adapt a non-traditional "business model." You know, like where you don't actually make any money. :)

You can add me to the bucket that find him intolerable and would never associate with him. I've even chosen to not work with other potential partners due in part to their relationship with skiology. And I've told those partners as much.

as noted, I'm not alone.

I drop the F bomb pretty regularly... I've gotten better at work, especially as someone who is higher up now and is more in charger. However, it still gets used there albeit a lot less frequently than it used to 🤪🤷‍♂️

My company is Australian, then they launched in the UK, then in the USA. So my first CEO was aussie and my current CEO and COO and Head of HR are all British. We just call each other cunts all day no big deal

hes actually getting a surprising amount of negative comments/pushback on this mount snow post. I'm surprised the discourse hasn't been squashed

And I did notice as I was reading that attempt at a follow up "I am always right about everything" post, that he must be reading this thread and used the proper 1st name of the head of mountain ops, not the incorrect one he put in his original rant, so I am guessing either himself or one of his minions is reading this thread in basically real time.

Maybe if he learned that #1 he DOESN'T know nearly as much about the industry as he thinks he does, and #2, regardless of what he thinks, he's going to be WRONG about things at times, and then own that rather that double and triple down on his insistance that he's never wrong, the now seemingly inevitable end of the dumpster fire that Skiology is now, and of his own doing, wouldn't be the case.

When's that court date, and does anyone know if the public can sit in the courtroom and listen to the proceedings? Might be interesting to listen to the likely excuses play out infront of a judge ;)
