Man, it's the middle of summer and I'm itching to make some turns.

Then I see this yesterday on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d6PR7nwtDqw

Man, this looks just stupid enough to try (like I said, I'm itching bad.) Of course there are questions, and the internet isn't helping out:

Anybody done it? Know of any places in the East (presumably Pennsylvania) on land open to the public (or at least where nobody cares?) Anything else to know? Am I going to put out my eye? How freaking dumb is this to think about?

I guess dune skiing isn't out of the question either if anybody knows anything about that. Same questions apply.

And if it isn't absolutely, totally, ridiculously idiotic, anybody up for a road trip once we find a place?

there are alot of mines up in the Hazleton PA area but I assume it's private property....I tried grass skiing and wasn't that into it..but it's a different kind of ski..I'd be down to try it sometime..I remember Jerm the Beetnik writing a dryland TR where he caused minor avalanches on the Ski Vermont Discussion list about a decade back..I'll see if I can find the thread..and I'll post some more dryland skiing stoke in this..
