Seems like everytime I got a gig scheduled - it snows...

I'm hosting an "open mic" night tonight with a friend and I'm hauling drums to the car now and it's snowin pretty hard....

I have to try and get in another band so I can have more gigs and we'll have more snow.... :D

Been hearing 7" tonight...

Maybe longer Jamming as long as you control the music and the snowfall.

Some of my group's favorite drummer jokes:

What do you call a guy who hangs out with a bunch of musicians?

.
.
.
.
A drummer.

How can you tell if a stage is level?

.
.
.

The drummer drools out of both sides of his mouth. :D

Nice! I would like to try coated heads again sometime. They are great in the studio.
I'm still rocking my Pearl Exports which are getting a little old. But, since I have to invest in a new, real ride, and a double bass pedal (I never wanted one, but now I'm happy with my playing on a single and want to move on and get with the times), I'm probably going to stick with my set for a while since it's major bucks!!
So for now I just make sure to tune my kit real well ;)

Oh yeah, and if you're in the mood to check out some classic kits, go here:
http://www.vintagedrums.com/

I bought some cymbals from this guy years ago on Ebay. He lives near by so I went to pick it up - The guy is amazing! He lives in a house alone with drums filling almost every room. He buys vintage stuff, restores it, and resells it. It's fun to just look at the awesome drums on his site - although most of it is too $$$ for my blood since it's all real vintage.

I like the coated heads G1s cuase they give my set a real dry sound... I love jazz so I dig that sound..

Double bass pedal is cool... I hardly use it in any bands I play with now... It's a little too much...
I mainly use it on the "big endings" of songs...

Drums are great!
