I hiked Mansfield yesterday and there was snow for the upper 500 vertical ft or so. Seeing snow in pictures is good but there's nothing like the real thing to get you pumped up

Looks like it might be snowing in central Vermont over towards the Sunapee area in NH on the Dopler radar this morning. Anybody have flakes on the driveway? Maybe Whaleback?
About 6pm tonight I looked over at Mt Ellen. Light snow dusting on trails visible on the upper half of the mountain. Still 37deg here at 1800', but must be just cold enough 2000' and up.

How much snow was on Mansfield, just a dusting??
It was more than a dusting but it wasn't even an inch. The trees were covered, the ground was icy in spots, snowy in others. It was really cloudy up there but really sunny everywhere else. It definitely felt like winter up there. If you've ever been to the chin in summer and winter you know it feels like 2 totally different mountains. It definitely was beginning to feel more like the winter mountain up there.
