09/28 Whiteface Veterans Memorial Highway-- Opening will be delayed this morning due to SNOW!!! We will keep you updated as conditions change

Folks hike, skin up the highway and ski it before the ski resort opens.

Looks like some lake effect precip bands developing. Might be some localized acuumulation here or there....

I'm gonna pick up some XC gear this season, we get thin covers like that locally and there's some good areas in the park to hit nearby. way to go after it, even a dusting....

Great idea -- the queen and i been xc skiing since the 70's there are some really great times going DOWNHILL on those too. We're fortunate have several 100 K of trails nearby and of course the OLYMPIC trails at placid .


Going downhill on XC is a rush !!! My son and i used to race each other side by side going downhill


BTW : Octoberfest Weekend @ Whiteface starts tomorrow
