I'd say the top 100 ft. of the road are skiable...

Oh please. With the usual swings in Mt. Washington weather, it will be sunny and 60 for the next 2 weeks.

While I share in the excitement somewhat, practically speaking seeing snow on top of Mt. Washington in mid September is no more exciting or indicative of the approaching ski season than a 2 foot dump in Las Lenas, Argentina. It can snow any time of the year up there.

I was in Berlin NH this afternoon about 1 oclock it was 49 degrees. MT Washington was in the clouds so couldn't see the snow. We were on motorcycles and it was pretty cool. I was wearing my ski jacket and gloves!

Koreshot has stated that he's purposely not thinking about the season yet. I think he doesn't want to be tortured like last year.

Theres always freak October 12 foot (you have to double the amount of snow for each year that passes) snowstorms that open wildcat :daffy:

Glad someone is paying attention :spin:

Sorry to be the killjoy and all that... its completely selfish. As wa-loaf mentioned, I am working on a new technique of being completely unstocked until some time in November. I haven't touched my skis or anything related, including magazines, ski movies and pictures in about two weeks and I hope to keep that going till mid November. I just can't stand to be crushed again the way I was last year.

AZ is the only ski habit I haven't been able to shake yet. Greg, can you please hold off changing the forum template from the summer green to the winter blue until there is a bunch of snow on the ground? :) .. last year the changeover to the winter template was a huge stokage catalyst.

and bigbog, you keep Hoboken out of this. Although I have heard that the size of the pecs on Hoboken guidos is directly proportional to the chances of a good snow year. I have been taking close measurements and things are looking on the up and up!!! (where is the head shake animation?)

In your CP you can set the theme to stay summer for as long as you want. Some people look at the forum as winter year round...

Nope. Historically, it's the first frost at my house. Last night was our best chance in the near future and it only got to 40*F this morning. Sorry folks, a few more weeks of green.

You guys a re no fun. In the old days, I used to force the template on people. It was always interesting to read the reactions that morning.

I'm still fun Greg. I have mine set to your cue.

But everyone knows I'm the fun one, so that goes without saying.
