It's in business, has expanded its' circulation, and the first issue comes out in October. Not exactly Powder, but I like reading about the smaller eastern areas.

Their survey results are interesting. Looks kind of metro-NY reader weighted.
Really, really surprised not to see Breton Woods on the "favorite grooming" list, or Burke, Magic or Black on the "classic" list - Cranmore strikes me as less classic, as it's really done a lot of modernization.

I think that they give pretty good coverage to the smaller areas and the Eastern Townships in Quebec. It is strictly EAST US and Quebec. I enjoy the magazine and always look forward to it.

They usually have it at Barnes and Noble or Borders but I have a subscription.

I think that was woodcore who posted a pic of his sister in a magazine.

I was in a pic in SnowEast a couple years ago. A few of us from ski club took a pic at the top of Sunapee.

Not sure they'll be there this year, but SnowEast publisher has been at the Boston SnowSports Expo the last couple years.

The magazine can often be found for free. Our ski club lodge gets a big boxfull usually. I'd bet other clubs get them too. I know I've seen them on display at smaller ski areas in Vermont too.

Ski East Magazine is a great publication. I like how it specializes to just the northeast and covers ski resorts in the mid atlantic as well. Plus, they voted Camelback Mountain Resort the number one resort in Pennsylvania and they definitely deserved that title.

It has some really great articles and features on a bunch of different resorts and ski areas and not just the "popular" places. They also focus a lot on future endeavors ski resorts are working on. Check it out!

Most East Coast ski clubs get copies of SnowEast.

Otherwise - check the rest stops on the NY State Thruway. There are always copies there.

This shot of me was in there under "Best Glades". Twilight Zone @ Magic was ranked 6th or something. Funny thing was I had no idea. I was in the lodge & a friend noticed it.

Wow. Let me say that I have been a pass holder at CBK for many years and love the place. It has been everything (well almost everything) we wanted in selecting a home mountain. I get 40-45 days there every season. Art buying the place was the best thing that ever happened there. That being said I wonder what their critera is. Elk and Blue have more vert and longer runs. Elk also gets more natural snow. They (both Elk and Blue) also have been doing a better job with bump skiing

Management at Camelback has done a good job even with customers like me who are constantly on their case. My pet peeve as many know is getting them to seed a set of moguls on the skiers right hand side of Cliffhanger (Attn Charlie and Bill:smash I give them credit for coming in to the bar and locker room and getting an earful. Also to their credit they did a much better job last year with Lower Cleo and Asp. Asp last spring was just awesome.

I'm not a big one on comparisons. Camelback will always be home but I feel lucky to have all 3 mountains there and hit them (and enjoy them) all every season. They all have different plusses and minuses. IMO Camelback has the best snowmaking of the 3.

Last season was the best I've ever experienced in the Pocono's. All three mountains seemed to catch on to the interest in mogul skiing and made the skiing great. We can only hope that it will be just as good this year.
