Snowfall in the "southern tier"

As of dinnertime, the Southern Tier racked up eight to 12 inches of snow that fell since early morning, depending on where the lake-effect bands set up. Snow showers were expected to continue.

On Monday, Holiday Valley reported a base of three to 32 inches, with 20 slopes open and eight lifts operating. That was expected to increase as the week goes along, with more of the resort's 58 trails and 13 total lifts opening up.:-o

HV and Holimont got hit, but not much else west of Syracuse. I'd have hoped for a little more base building at Bristol, but bands of lake effect never really got going south of Ontario. This was all good, but very isolated. We (everyone) still need a good sized all out synoptic storm with stable temps not continually bumping up far above freezing.
