HIGHMONT, NY — Belleayre Mountain anticipates a full week of prime snowmaking weather. Several additional lifts and trails are expected to be added by the weekend of December 18-19. Despite challenging early season temperatures, the mountain has managed to increase their snow covered terrain since their November 13 opening date. While no major natural snowfall is expected this week, temperatures look compatible with snowmaking assuring a great weekend to ski and ride with no travel worries.
Beginning December 18 and running through March 13 is the Belleayre Mountain Race program. For seasoned racer or newcomers to the sport of racing, this program is designed to develop skills to be a successful competitor. Program available to advanced skiers, ages 6-17 and early registration is required. Fee: $350 December 19 is Hospital Personnel Super Sunday. Present your valid hospital ID and purchase your lift ticket for only $25.
