Got here at 9:30. It was completely fogged in until the last couple hundred feet before the parking lot. But, Platty was in the sun!!

Only the snowmaking trails were open and you had to either wait for an atv to shuttle you to the top of Blockbuster, or miss the top 1/4 and just walk about 50 yards and you were there. IMHO northface was the trail of the day. But the vibe and the beers on the deck just cemented it as a memorable spring day! I truly love Platty and it reminds me of the way skiing used to be when I was a kid.

The bump comp was a blast and for all you BMMC fans that are pissed, Lazlo said the Bumpin' Blockbluster Comp will be annual event. The lines were super tight! Kudos to all who entered!

I had the pleasure to meet the (in)famous Harvey44 from NYskiblog.com. I look forward to making some turns next year when you are able. Perhaps we'll get our little ones with us as well!

I am psyched for some final turns on Northface and Block tomorrow!! I also bought our passes for next year today! Psych!! Hopefully we'll have a short summer!!

Platty friggin rocked today, much better than I expected. What an awesome day, from skiing above the clouds in the morning, to watching some great bumpers from Blockbuster.

Above the fog approaching Northface, it was like butta.

Blockbuster had tons of snow still.

Great to meet you marcski, and sorry we did not connect Cornhead. (How that can happen is BEYOND me).

It was an amazing day, and I was HARDLY cranky at all to be out of action.

My buddy Tbatt pretty much ROCKED the comp. This was afterwards, catching some air off a kicker on Face:

Marcski is right, it's going to be an annual gig and we are going to make some changes. For one thing we're going to move the field farther down for better deck viewage, and we may even put some more formal seating up the trail.

Been a tough season for all and I know it cost Laz dearly to blow enough snow Block to make it to this weekend, but you could tell by the smile on his face at day's end that he felt it was worth it.

I hope Nick will forgive me this once for a forum-to-forum link:

Plattekills Bumpin Blockbuster Mogul Competition

Great ending to the season for Plattekill.
