State you ski the most

For me it's Massachusetts. Living in Northwest Connecticut, Jiminy or Butternut make the most sense in terms of a day trip. I also ski Loon at least a couple times a year and usually get to Snow or Killington a couple of times. Never skied in Maine.

Even when I lived in MA and NH, VT has always been my favorite from Mount Snow to Killington, Sugarbush and Stowe. Can't beat it. I've been to Wildcat in ME, sometime I think I need to experience the Loaf or Sunday River.

If aspects of a ski area could be combined into one "talent" category, I think Vermont would have the most talent. Although lately, with all the skiing I do at Berkshire East, I'd say I ski MA and VT about equally, with NH coming in right behind.

Starting from the Worcester area, we do a lot of Saturday day trips to VT, meet my in-laws up there for a day of skiiing, and then continue over the hill to Saratoga, NY for the night and drive back to Mass the next day, which minimizes the drive time after skiing on Sat. Usually go to Stratton, sometimes Magic or Ascutney....

Because I live in MA, Work at a ski area in MA and have a GPS Century Pass (which I use at night) for Wachusett (20 min away from home) in MA I had to say MA, but it is not my most prefered state to ski in.

Mostly because work, family, and animal responsibilities relegate us to mostly doing weekend day trips and the Southern NH places are within reasonable range. WaWa would be closer but we've heard nothing but horrer stories about crowds on weekends. I think Birkshire East is within reasonable day trip range, so we may have to give it a shot.

I live in Mass about 30 minutes from Mount Wachusett, so I ski there a lot. Mainly nights and weekdays. But I live just below Keene NH too and it is a hop, skip and a jump to Okemo or Rt 100, so my favorite skiing is Vermont. Of course!

i miss him, i enjoyed his trip reports. he and Warren had some cool adventures. that dude would pull the kid out of school at a moments notice to catch a pow day up north.

I'd say now, Massachusetts, just for convenience factor. Wachusett is about 45 minutes from me. When I was younger and lived in Connecticut, it definitely was Vermont. Now I live in MA and I'm closer to NH and Maine mountains.
