Hmmm tooo Cold.... Last year I did a couple of days at Stowe and sleeping in the parking lot at Stowe and it was NEGATIVE (-11 one morning then -9 the next morning) not much wind thankfully but was great riding those days : ) Little chilly but ok in the Back of the SUV to sleep.

I'll allow it as long as you pay me my new overnight parking fee. $200/night for the convenience of being first to pay the additional $30 for parking the next day should be an Epic privilege that people will be rushing to take advantage of! Thank you for this brilliant new idea and revenue stream!

Well I would say "You can" technically but the Mountains says "NO".
Its where you park that matters. Local store or hotel that you slip into a open spot late at night or a Quiet corner of a Ski mountain lot "Hint, Hint" somewhere that you don't mess up plows

Its a slight art but it can be done even at Stowe if out of the way I believe its possible. "Cough, Cough" Especially if you pay the Lord of the Vail the "Toll" to be allowed less hassle then the Mansfield parking lot. Even Mansfield could be possible but then you wake up having to pay the $30 to stay the day on weekends lol.

Basically I looked at it like this. If you ride most of a day and go out in the evening and night and I am back in my Suv or Ride around 11 or midnight if I can find a little fun. Its only (7 or 8hrs) before I have to get up to go ride again Wherever you park at that point if you aren't in the way you should be clear to go to sleep with minimal but not "Zero" chance of being hassled.

Worked it Saturday, a lot of people had a lot of Fun. Ya, some windhold, but it was fine. 1 hour of some thick lines at Sunrise, then thinned, as lifts started moving again. It was Dry Cold, call that “Cold Smoke” and it’s A-Ok for a busy Day in short PowDa. If you played it like most, Super Fun for a busy Saturday in January.

Very FEW compla

It's better to build a snow cave into the side of a Stowe snowbank. Chances are it won't collapse.

That's what the mountain likes.

During COVID the proliferation of those "camper van" things has exploded so much that I wouldn't put it past Vail to put in a row of like 25 spots for them to overnight park at $120/night or something.
