Vail curse has hit Stowe this morning. 6 pack down for electrical, quad has a decent line and is stopping a LOT, including right now going on 5 minutes.

Thats when i would hit spruce...
No can do till 9. Moved over to Gondy. Been sticking to the premium cold smoky corduroy so far. Opened on Liftline, then 3 runs in the sun on Hayride, and Nosedive to get over here. Might do a Perry and a Gondolier and then start getting into the woods. Nice to have a chill morning outside of the lift issues.

I wouldn't normally spend long at the Gondy but I mean...goose feathers in the Chin Clip woods. Ice coast?

Just checked and day tix are available online thru 4/30 this year... That's 2 weeks more than the past few yrs.

@drjeff ... need you to ask your old friend to push that date into May. Thx

That would be very uncharacteristic of Stowe but I'm here for it!

Groomers were great this AM

Hmmmm..... I'd be very careful with that before pre-buying lift tickets, it's completely against Vail's M.O.

I could see them closing before then, either due to a typical northeastern heatwave (i.e. a legitimate reason) or simply because it's what Vail does to save money.

A third option (perhaps the most likely), is they are "open", they keep harvesting people's lift ticket cash, but only leave the gondola pod open.

No worries on tix, have epic... was just curious as I was looking at booking Apr lodging.

It'd be great if they ran the Quad (only) and had Nosedive as a late season, lift served, ski it till it melts opportunity...

4/30 is a Wednesday so that wouldn't be it, but even 4/27 would be nice!

Just got home a little while ago and checked the cams...dumping up there again. Be back in two weeks!

They wouldn’t run Gondi, too expensive to run and not enough terrain. Late riding is off the quad…

That's what they did last season. Quad and Six every day till closing on 4/22 if I remember correctly.

We were there over Easter weekend of 2019 which was around the 20th that year if I remember correctly. The gondola was closed for the season but they opened it on Easter Sunday for the last day of the season which was cool. The front four from the mid-sections down and bypass were all open on the last day of the season that year. It's looking like this year is going to bring another great late season at Stowe.
