We arrived at Sunbowl around 9ish to a mostly empty lot. We were in an empty lifeline around 9:20. It was snowing and lightly snowed all day. It wasn't a powder day, but the light snow kept things "packed powder" on just about every run. Everything skied well. There was a bit of scratch one the upper part of Janeway and Drifter. I even found some spots that were untracked on the trail edges.

Today was one of those days where it was perpetually 9:30 AM...the lift lines just never happened. It really dropped off around lunch. For there on, practically ski on the lifts. I think a lot of people were worried about the storm down south and they went home early.

Some good natural moguls under the gondola. A little firm, but totally skiable. I haven't done many bumps this year and after pounding out a section, I was pretty winded. We didn't try the woods, but we saw a number of people dropping in at a few points.

Ditto for Bromley with the crowd. Lot's of groomers but more bumps than I've seen at any other ski area this year, firm but very skiable. Their glade trails were well covered also.

We were planning on going to Stratton but changed plans because a large group from my club was heading to Bromley.

We skied Stratton on Saturday and Sunday. Saturday was extremely crowded, almost holiday weekend-like. Conditions were very firm and tracked out. Really not anything that was worth noting other than Kidderbrook/Freefall, which skied great both days. Sunday was a different story. Crowds were light and the light snow kept things pretty fresh most of the day. Franks was great after they opened it in the afternoon after race training was over. Liftline was also exceptional. Over the two days, my son and I skied some of the lower angle glades and they skied decent, especially Moonbeam, which had the best snow on the whole mountain. Cabin Fever was a little thinner cover but skiable. Emerald Forrest was pretty skiable but most firm moguls. We skied the bumps under the Gondi also and to me, those weren't worth it. Icy in the troughs, icy on the tops, that's a pass for me. Stratton needs a major dump or some higher temps to get things skiing really good.
