Do you stretch much before you get started on your day?

I personally do not, but really ought to. I guess I'm just so amped to get going when I get to the hill that I don't take the time to stretch out.

I used to stretch pretty thoroughly in the lodge prior to skiing when I was more fitness conscious. Not any more. No stretching, no warm ups, no easy runs. Just grab the skis and go. Lots of days conditions me enough. Most people stretch cold any ways which you really aren't supposed to do.

I'll do a little stretching in the lift line (or while waiting for other folks), probably more to warm up than anything.

...stretching prior to skiing...

On a ski day = a little, but what really seems to make a difference with me...is if I've stuck to an exercise(with stretching) regimen during the week prior to any ski day.

Every morning before i leave i need to do about 30 to 40 min of stretching/execise for various muscle issues i have developed and a bad back.If i did nothing, nothing would bother me but since i ski all most every day it need to stretch and execise for back, pelvis"rolls up and out" and a IT band that seems to be able to pull on knee cap to side. All my issues are pretty much from muscle imbalances and it seems like every time i get it balanced i develop another.

Is getting out of bed, taking a shower, and getting a coffee, a part of "stretching"??? :)
Unfortunately that's about my regimen during the workweek.....

We try to add the stretching when we exercise in the evening, other than that I do a little bit in line waiting for the lift.

I usually don't but in Jackson Hole..I'd often be in line for the gondola 20-30 minutes early so I did a little stretching..usually when I get to the ski area..I'm to gung ho to just ski. It only takes me 2-3 minutes to boot up and then I high tail it to the lift.

...a little aerobics(walking;-)) helps

The motivation to get in some walking/biking every morning(early) is easy when one has trail/sm. dirt road systems such as Bangor's City Forest.
Yes, Jack is the man...and his Juicer works..(apples & celery!! Yummmm)

I stretch almost every day, but more fully on ski days. I do them at home or where ever I stay before I leave for the mountain.
I do a series of yoga-based stretches I first got turned on to from an article in, of all places, SKI Magazine some 12-15 years ago. I'm especially conscious of an exercises that stretch my cruciates, after seeing two friends strain/pop theirs in the last 2 seasons.
I find that the 15 minutes or so of stretching is quality quiet time that helps me get my head set for the day of skiing.
