A few friends and I are thinking of doing a quick trip to Sugarloaf. Any thoughts on a decent place to stay that doesn't necessarily break the bank?

Been there done that a few years ago when I was a broke college student. You get some funny looks from people pulling into the parking lot when you climb out of an SUV with a few inches of snow covering it.
Found a place to stay. We are heading up tomorrow before the storm. Sounds like we might have picked a good weekend to make our first trip up there.

Check out the Carrabassett Inn. It's about 5-8 miles south of the Sugarloaf access road on rt 27.
It looks like they are popular with the snowmobiling crowd, but a clean bed is a clean bed.
The room rates are about $ 80 - 90 (not per person) which in that area passes for reasonable.
