Resort or Ski Area: Mount Sunapee

Conditions: PP, Powder

Trip Report: Skied Sunapee for 1/2 day on Saturday and all day Sunday.

Saturday was a fun "family" ski day. Buddy and I took our daughters (9, 10, 10) and my son out for the afternoon. The girls were content with skiing the same 2 or 3 trails the whole time so we lapped upper and lower ridge most of the time with a diversion over to the sun bowl and a few trips on tobogan chute.

Girls got cold late in the afternoon and called it quits. Jake and I snuck over to upper flying goose for a run down the bumps. Nice bumps, multiple lines and they had 2 sets of kickers setup but blocked off.

Sunday we slept in and the girls elected to stay home so me, Jake and my buddy headed over. We got 6+ inches of snow overnight but with the late start i didn't think we'd catch much fresh powder. Arrived to a very crowded parking lot. got on the snow around 11. We headed over to the sun bowl with the hope of it being less crowded and perhaps still untracked pow. It wasn't the case but the conditions were still excellent. We skied the sun bowl for a few runs and then back to the main mountain. We skied the day away enjoying the great snow. late in teh afternoon things got a little scraped off but not bad. Jake and my bud weren't into bumps so we stayed away from flying goose. Rode the lift over it a few times and watched some of the Sunapee bump team show off their skilz.

Last run of the day i did head over and hit the bumps while Jake and my buddy headed in. They skied great, still multiple lines and the snow from the night before made the bumps nice and soft.

unless you are related to one of the kids this video isn't very exciting but if you fast forward to the 3:00 mark you can see what the bumps on Upper Flying Goose looked like.
