Anyone know how Sundown's 8 hour ticket works? I've never skied there. For example does an 8 hour ticket mean you can ski 11am to 7pm ?

All of them. Sundown ain't 'zactly Stowe.

There are bumps on Nor'Easter and on skier's right down Exhibition. These are open at night as well.

I forgot to mention, go check-out the Trip Report threads. There's about a half a gazillionity reports on Sundown there. About 3/4 of a magabazillion are about bumps at night. Most have pics and video. There's probably enough so that you won't ever even need to go at all.:spin:

I was under the impression that it was from the time of first scan, not purchase?

I'm pretty sure this is the case.

Technically not all the trails have lights. Panhandle is not open at night.

The Nor'easter bumps are real funky right now. The Exhibition bumps are trashed but they should have been reseeded last night. They want to rebuild Nor'easter soon too as the snowmaking is resulting in some alien-like mogul whales on the run.

Technically, yes. But if you go ski there on a night when there's only 1 scanner working -versus- 4 lifts, that doesn't mean you get a freebie. That's why I stated that it was 8 hrs from purchase. If it has to be checked manually (without a scanner) that's how it will be determined.

Gotcha! Thanks for clarifying.

This is correct, I don't think most people even know there's a trail there at all, but it is closed at night...

Damn loss prevention people thinking they're all high and mighty...

Update on the Exhibition bumps from Chris Sullivan:

We smashed Exhibition last night. Then we had machine issues. We'll have to wait for a rebuild overnight tonight.

From the reports from youse guys, sounds like starting-over is the best available option anyway.

they had become absolutely useless.

Yep. Broad patches of glare ice and no real lines anymore. I knew I was done with it the one time I had to stop and collect myself in the middle of the run. Definitely the right move.
