getting read to grill up some ribeyes!

On a grill, those are the best! Ok, someone gets the point of my thread. Thanks for explaining it to me.

Ribeye has more flavor that a porterhouse. Although the P-house does have the bone that..well I won't post what I was going to post because it will be taked wrong.

Got a grill, rib eye is the best! Although a lil filet mignon is nice too :)

Filet mignon is good too but it can be dry.

My top 5 cuts:

Rib-eye/ Delmonico
Porterhouse
Sirloin
Filet Mignon
Strip

In any case, any cut of steak is good -- for as long as it is cooked medium rare.

Ribeyes usually have more fat and marbling than other cuts. More flare-ups on the grill but the trade-off is better flavor and juiciness (my mouth is watering as I write that).

I second rib-eye Its like the bacon of beef, so good cooked over fire enough so the fat renders out.....mmmmm.


You really should give skirt steak a try, it has that same kind of flavor. Good carne asada is always skirt steak.

I knew this thread would draw you out.

Don't get me wrong. I like skirt steak. It just has to be treated differently. I cut mine diagonally against the grain to make it seem more tender.

Let's just keep it simple, just about any cut of cow grilled up properly on Memorial Day Weekend is pretty darn good :)
