so i've never experienced this in its totality. Being able to check in and out of the white room with ability. Unfortunately, my deep powder skills are somewhere south of nonexistant. If you had to describe the float you get in powder, what word would you use?

Whoosh Whoosh Whoosh..no scraping..no hitting bottom..floating on air(since powder is 95% air)..My buddy was making race carves in powder on the St. Patricks day storm.. It hurt my heads to see him pushing his skis to the max and hitting the underlying hardpack..Stay centered..getting too far back in powder is a gaper mistake..hands forward..no just tip your skis lightly from left to right..and bingo..you're skiing powder..

Many of us that skied and then learned to snowboard cite experinecing that feeling as the moment when they knew snowboarding is what they wanted to concentrate on - especially in powder..

It's like when my boat gets up on plane......all of a sudden you're flying along nice and smooth. You need to get up some speed for this though.
