One thing most people don't realize is this:

The trails at Jay Peak are icy. Just becasue it is now known for vast ammounts of powder, doesn't mean that the trails aren't still icy as they were years ago... I heard a patroller or someone of that sort say the same thing about a year ago.

If it weren't for Glades, who knows if Jay would even still be around!?!

Jay Peak is the best.

I've only skied there 4 days. I agree about the ice, at least for the trails in the high-wind areas at the top of the tram or flyer. The glades are fantastic and what makes it worthwhile. There are some fun trails though, like Powerline, Liftline, Green Beret. Those I think manage to stay less icy. But it's the glades that make me want to go there most; Sugarbush and MRG probably beat Jay for trails.
