I'm going to try to be as respectful as possible. Please, permit me two thoughts:

1. It's tough to have a serious political discussion when we can't even agree on basic facts. You saw the meeting and thought Zelensky was disrespectful. I saw the meeting and thought Vance and DJT were disrespectful. Tough to have serious discussions when we can't even agree on that.

2. War sux. Full stop. It should be the last possible answer in any situation. That said, it's also not a great idea for it to be generally accepted that the bigger, stronger person (russia) should be able to do whatever it wants to the smaller, weaker person (ukraine) without consequences. Somtimes you have no choice but to go to war. Is it smart strategy to just allow russia to invade ukraine without consequences? What happens when they invade another neighboring country that happens to be part of NATO? With the current US admin, it's actually a question mark.
