Good luck with the regulations on that one. If you could, do that too.

I'm not thinking about EXTRA traffic. Just looking for a new "pod" for existing traffic. You have a liftline there to use, it was a liftline.

I'm still not seeing any place that really makes sense to off-load this new fantasy lift to create this new pseudo-pod.

In addition to. Doesn’t have to go to summit, that must have been nuts back in the day with wind. Top of OG, I mean it used to be a liftline….how did they off load the lift in 1972?
It was a Gondola, you off loaded in a building. Left to Jester and OG, right to Paradise. But, yes in bad wind it could be a scary ride!!

Of the Master Plan dreams, I liked the lift and pod down to lower FIS best. I feel like that would help balance traffic between North and South best. The pod above Inverness would be cool too, but I feel harder to permit due to elevation.

No need to sell your ski stuff. I golf April-December. I haven’t even had the itch at all until this morning seeing grass for the first time in months. But hold out until mid April. Tourneys start down her early May, which is ridiculous, zero time to get ready unless you travel to practice etc.
I golfed a tremendous amount when I was in School. At 17 I was my clubs Jr. Champ with a handicap around 10. Then beach vollyball took over. Then is was Mountain biking. No I am not really going back to golf until I am retired.

I was just joking in light of your depressing post. I think all will be fine. I just can't wait for IKON to move on and we get our mountain back. My dream is for the full pass to go to 2 grand and weed out all riff raff and also get the Ellen only pass back to make them happy. Then all will be good again.

Wouldn't that require independent ownership again?

Do we think tomorrow will be terrible or just bad? Have a buddy coming up tonight and he can only ski tomorrow so we’ll be heading out regardless

I realize this is all dream world stuff that people on the internet are coming up with,... But are you talking about keeping the HG current quad and adding an additional HSQ that goes to the top of OG? How is that a new POD? Isn't that just adding uphill capacity to an existing POD?
Adding a new lift. This would create the ability to ski all of Jester and reload. no need to ski Deathspout as much. HG would become more expert focused. I don't know, I know it's never going to happen but there are a hell of a lot more benefits than Slidy-B for me. But like anything, I'm sure others view it differently.

Funny, I will be no longer golfing when I retire LOL. I play more for competitions than I do for fun these days. If you go back to your jr days, it's a grind.
I totally agree with you, I would love to see IKON move along.

Top of OG?? how would it be any different than HG?

That's my issue. If this new fantasy lift off-loads at the top of OG, that's too much capacity going to the summit. You said this new lift was in addition to HG and not in place of it.

Well it can only off load at the top of the liftline so either summit as did the old gondy or lower at the top of OG. Fair point on the capacity, but I would see much of the HG capacity moving to this lift, mostly intermediate focused where HG would be more focused on skiers left. I personally view Deathspout as perhaps the single worst trail in New England. This is because of the outrageous traffic flow it takes, and this would reduce that flow.
Maybe even cut a few new trails off the summit. Not sure if that would even be allowed today. Again, fantasy land that is never gonna happen.

So one lift that serves primarily Jester (and maybe OG) and one lift that serves RC and Paradise? Honestly seems pointless to me. Just so people can avoid Downspout? Take Lower Jester/Lower OG to HG Traverse to avoid DS. With HGT now having snowmaking, that was one of the benefits to give a more reliable alternative to DS. If anything I think doubling capacity to the summit would make DS worse. Some people skiing Jester would inevitably still take DS to get back to the base of this new fantasy lift. And anyone that skis OG from this new lift would essentially have no choice but to take DS as skiing across the OG flats is rarely done by most people.
