hey SB regulars- how do the lifts at south handle the South wind forecasted for Thursday? it looks to get breezy as the day goes on.
Might be tough for Bravo. GH and HG probably ok; one of the selling points of the new HG was ability to handle winds. That being said, 40+ with gusts to 60 (NOAA forecast) may be tough. Guessing they could run VH if Bravo goes down, since it would be a bit sheltered and the new traverse gets you to HG easier

Bad....South and Southeast are the worst directions. Lifts will be down if it goes to a steady 40.

This is my recollection as well that south is one of the worst directions for SB lifts. Pretty windy out there today. I got a couple laps on HG this morning, but it is on wind hold now and I'm not really surprised. The chairs were rocking pretty good on the lower ripcord section. The wind is also already scouring some of the more exposed trails. Sheltered trails like Moonshine were still really nice today though.
