Yes. Not sucking goes a long way towards informing your requirements for what sufficient cover looks like.

I'll never understand people that see signs that say "thin cover" and then ski the trail anyway and complain "I can't believe the cover was actually thin". I've seen/heard that complaint before as well. Not sure why people don't believe the warnings...
Here's the sign at top of Bravo today:

Sign? You want me to read a fucking sign? You moron, I expect a Mountian ambassador with hot chocolate and a cookie to be there to tell me to not ski that trail because I suck at skiing!

Side note - if he shows tomorrow he will complain about too much ungroomed snow lol.

Skiing is fun.

Ugh...don't get me started on that. There was someone last year on social media that complained about exactly that after a major storm! And some of the trails they were complaining about that time WERE groomed...but it just snowed so much that they bumped up in no time.

I think alot of weekenders and Jerries dont understand that if you get more than 6” groomed or not any steep stuff with be bumped up by noon

Not just the steep stuff. Even the blues and greens were bumped up that day. Many were bumped up within an hour or two of opening. It was a pretty substantial storm though. The other thing they don't understand is that you can't groom everything at the last minute right before opening. So some of the trails that were groomed were groomed first shift and then had hours of snow accumulation after they were groomed. So people took that to mean they weren't groomed at all.

I love the fact it is right at the top of Bravo. Kinda the reverse of Castlerock where the sign is at the bottom of the lift. You’re committed now!!
Though I didn't have hot cocoa to pass around, as the ambassador at top of Bravo, I was able to steer several folks to Birdland, Murphy's, or full zig-zag to HG Traverse

I hope no one tells Mr Hill about Mad River.
Skiing today was so fun. This is exactly the kind of snow that makes those runs skiable despite their superficial appearance. With no base I’ll take 6-8” of glop over a foot of fluff any day.

Great to see the knowledgeable Bush skiers speaking up. I really enjoyed what was opened starting last week. Best early skiing since 2008. Nice refresh Sunday night.

I have backed away from the snowmaking conversation but I still do have my gripes. I am a music person. One of the highlights each year is the Sugarbash. My entire group of friends goes to this and we look forward to it. This year No Grift and it 6:00pm to 9pm. I have to call BS on this. 9 pm is when things get going on a Saturady night. Also The Grift is what makes this party. I'm not sure who runs the entertainment but they are truely missing the mark. No wonder people say we are no longer a destination for younger people. Just a sleepy family mountian that rolls up the sidewalks at 9pm. Boooooo!
