Yes, the chairs are heavy especially with the detactch grip. Lift is spinning on the webcam so looks to be getting closer.

I'm sorry, but for a resort of Sugarbush's stature, January 31st is WAY too early to declare snowmaking over for the reason.

In years past the last snow making occurred right before Presidents’ Day, after that no snow making.

I think Presidents Day would be the earliest a big name resort would stop blowing. Many blow into March these days.

I get it if like S6 or Middlebury or whatever stop blowing early. But this resort is owned by the same company that owns Deer Valley and they're done snowmaking in January. I'd be pissed if I were a local. One warm week in February (and we've had a few of those in the past 10 years) and you're in a world of hurt.

It appears that you guys still don't understand this place. They blow every trial as least once, go back an hit the ones that need fixin and then they blow Steins, spring fling, snowball and coffee run. And then it is over. Since we did not get a bunch of warm ups and R#*%, they did not have to go back and fix a lot. We got cold and they finished early. No surprise because this has been the deal for the last 20 years. Wishing and bitching is not going to get you any more. Trust me.

Exactly...they make their target depths and amounts on the trails and they are done. No surprise...

Spoke with snowmaking crew today and they said it was their last day.

I think in the past they have converted some to lifties and done some spot snowmaking later if necessary

That could make sense for the "cat"to lift chairs. Don't recall if any where on the ground.

Summit spun today so that's good.

Finally some warmer temps today. LP skied well.

if SB wants to move up the ranks from a second class resort to first class they need to keep blowing snow like everyone else and have lifts that run for starters….🤪

From the latest State of the Mountain blog post:

"All in all, we’ve already surpassed last year in terms of total gallons used in a faster period of time. "
