I have actually just driven my own vehicle in between the 2 sides. Take one boot off and go. My wife and sons just left everything on.
My Dalbellos basically are like hiking boots when I put them in walk mode, so I keep them on. Done it dozens of times. Glad Johnny Law hasn't caught me yet, but also have not hit anyone/thing either, so all good.

i love riding SB and I hope it runs next year. This year is donion.

100%

And that's especially true in recent years where it seems the thaws always came within days of decent storms. So many times we'd get a hit on Wednesday and then rain by the weekend.

My life circumstances now place a much lesser value on April turns than in the past too. Lacrosse for my kids already started last week and games begin a week from Saturday.
Start Friday here. Seems way early.

drove up to SB for the 1st time in 2 years. i gotta say the food quality is going downhill. they should learn from Killington when it comes to food quality. and the gatehouse expresss kept stopping, just like 2 years ago.

By the way. the food service vendors at Mt. Ellen are exactly the same as at Lincoln Peak. It's not like they have a completly different procurement at both mountains. It's exactly the same. well except for that cool noodle bowl place at Ellen. That stuff is good.

I think they have done a good job with the food. There is more variety incldung the noodle or rice bowls and sushi (which I have not tried yet). I like the chicken curry bowl. Paradise Provisons is definately more consistent too. The soups and pizza are great.

The food and atmosphere is good at Rumbles, getting a seat there during a busy weekend can be a challenge though.

It's pretty good ski area food just a bit pricey but like going to a ball game they can charge higher prices. Some things are better than others but just a bit tired of it after a full season.

somehow i went into canteen creemee for the first time ever last weekend. really no idea how ive managed to avoid that for my entire life. had no idea there was a full food menu happening in there, and that theyve been recognized by james beard. i feel dumb for missing out on years of what looks like it may be the best menu+affordable option in the valley. they were also blasting billy strings on vinyl. i wasnt hungry, got a creemee. but noted the food for next time

I love Canteen and eat there often. Very slow but they own it and no one cares. Worth the wait. The menu is terrific and unique, and I have yet to have a bad meal there.

Just wish you didn't have to destroy your vehicle's suspension in the parking lot, but that's not their fault. Out of state owner owns the lot, much to the dismay of the customers and storeowners.

that shopping center punches so far above its weight class. the surly hippie pizza man. mad taco. mehurons <3. a decent enough dispensary. and canteen. also a bookstore or something like that i think?

the pizza guy. so theres one guy in front of me ordering. and he's like can i just get a pepporini slice please. and i chime in, i'll do the same. i just figure he can throw them in the oven together and its one less back and forth, and that im making his life and mine a small bit easier. once i ordered tho, in pizza guys mind me and the random other customer were joined. he kept telling us our combined total. and we're like, no man we're seperate. and he didnt get it. we each happened to have exact cash change, and we just combined our cash and handed it to him. weird guy.

Tempest Bookshop...great place. Proprietor is a terrific person and knows a ton about all levels of books and music. If you are lucky, get there on a day he has fresh sourdough bread... The Blockhouse creative space is also pretty cool, and the woman who runs the yarn shop next to Canteen is incredibly nice and can fix anything. $10 saved a pair of Patagucci pants after they stopped backing up their products with warranty.
