That is a little different. The snow closest to the nozzles didn't get enough time to nucleate, this is an issue regardless of technology. I have seen air hogs create igloos around themselves because they weren't tended to for an entire shift.

Not sure on the forecast for over there, but even at 1250 feet in NH things are trending colder with snow in the front and minimal rain to follow. I think it will be a non-issue

Showers look to be spotty on Friday and Saturday PM. I'm not too worried about it, I'll be out there for sure.

FWIW, I skinned up Ellen yesterday after work. Temps were right around freezing, the 6-8 inches of new snow settled and covered up the ice layer underneath. The snow skied very well and felt like real packed powder. I bet this weekend will have some nice soft turns once the temps climb a bit.

mountain-forecast has winds up to 80-90 mph at summit of mt ellen tomorrow..thats mt washington like! Calling for a couple inches overnight on Sat.

I think they are only meant to be short term forecasts specific to each mountain (there is a page that lists them all)

1800' is closer to the base than Allyn's. Allyn's is around 3000'.

Here's the point forecast for 2900' which is what I like to use for mid-mountain:
