I'm on the injured reserve, but man just hearing about the lift issues sounds rough. GMX and NR down? To get to Summit from Inverness you have to hike up Northway? Oof.

Add in Super Bravo. Not ideal.

On the subject of lifts, we do want to take a minute to address what has been a tricky week for our team. As we have mentioned in the snow report, the lift maintenance team has been working hard on a couple things for both the GMX and Super Bravo lifts. On Super Bravo they’ve been rebuilding the spacing clutches, an in-depth fix that has taken a couple days. We expect that lift to be spinning again by tomorrow. On GMX, our team has been completing a tower side rebuild mid-mountain, a larger assembly that isn’t a quick fix, but one we do expect to have ready for the weekend. We appreciate everyone’s patience as we work through both of these fixes and have worked to adjust lift operating schedules in the meantime with early openings on Inverness and North Ridge daily at Mt. Ellen and Valley House spinning at Lincoln Peak.

So is this the first somewhat detailed State of the Mountain post? (although you could also still argue it is mainly repeating what is already said in the snow report with ever so slightly more detail this time).

It just always seems that I never hear about any of these issues at, say, Stowe. Is it just me or does Sugarbush just always have these issues (or bad luck)?

The lift situation has become, to put it kindly, an embarrassment. What was the deal with NR today? I'll add - a friend who is in town couldn't believe he was unable to get a beer inside the lodge (CRP) at 3:45 on a Thursday at LP.

There's also a lot more SB skiers regularly posting on this board than Stowe ones. So you're much more likely to hear about SB issues than Stowe issues. There certainly are lift issues at a variety of resorts that never come up on this forum.

The snow this morning was fantastic. Skied semi tough as my first run and there was untracked powder all over it. Cliffs also had a ton of snow on it. Even skied lower fis for the first time in years( always forget how long the run out is)
