Jesus Christ...

don't these ski resorts pay an engineering consultant to prepare these applications? That is a mistake that wouldn't leave my company or anything I review...
You're talking about what amounts to a clown show. At least they got the right lift name in there.

Steel is trading right around 2017 prices, but I'm sure it would be even cheaper without the tariffs.
US Doppelmayer said to use hot dipped galvanized steel which hasn't changed much in pricce the past year (as compared to HRC stell which has risen quite a bit)

My guess is ellen will close completely early next year when they start removal of lift, similar to the amount of terrain they had to close when replacing HG.

They closed HG April 1st the year they were replacing it...which is exactly in line with when ME closes every year anyway. Only difference is they normally allow unlimited uphill when they close. I imagine that will be a no-no next year (and any late season private rentals may also be off the table next year).

Same alignment per the ACT 250 filing.
Thanks. I was just perusing the materials. I can't tell if the new lift will have a storage rail at the base or if they are just marking the location of the current storage rail that will be removed.

And, in 35+ years of living here and skiing SB, I have never referred to SB as "The Bush". Never heard it even in conversation in the Valley. Maybe it's just me and who I am around, but it's not a name we have used. Pretty silly moniker, IMO, but to each his/her/its own.

Saw a car today driving through the LP lot with custom Virginia plates saying "SKI DBUSH". Looked like an older guy driving too...

Overall was nice to finally have a bluebird day. Too bad it was the day I had to drive back home so only skied a few hours this morning...back to work tomorrow. Conditions on the groomers were pretty good today. Although it did put a damper on things when I was in the courtyard around 11am and saw ski patrol giving someone chest compressions while they were bringing them down on the sled behind a snowmobile to a waiting ambulance. Hope whoever it was is ok.
