At my age this is some thing I probably will never try, but I can imagine my boys considering it!

brings me sad memory of shane mcConkey. he was the pioneer for combining the base jumping and skiing. i still remember the day i heard his accidental death doing that. now, this is a little bit different than the base jumping skiing, but super adrenaline junky stuff nonetheless.

This isn't so dangerous , I like the idea of taking off flying for 3hrs , Sking and flying home ......without an engine.
Talk about the ultimate earned turns!

This isn't the same. McConkey's thing was more of a base jump. The jump he died on was more or less a stunt. Speed skiing which McConkey did I guess didn't hold the same thrill for him. This definitely looks dangerous enough to me. Fun though.

McKonkey was certainly an innovator but frankly put the fact that he chose to keep living life on the edge after becoming a father was extremely reckless and selfish in my eyes. He no longer took risks that could end in serious injury or death if they went wrong, just death.

How/what is his wife going to explain to their daughter about the circumstances of his death? That she will have to grow up without a father because he took excessive risks?
