Almost at expectations. Temperature was great early season. Some of you were skiing Killington in October. Belleayre opened in late-November with a fair amount of trails open which is highly unusual. Thought it had potential for an epic season (ok, still does). But the warm-ups and the massive rain. So painful.

Close to 10 days. Last Saturday at Belleayre was really good. Other days at Belleayre, Hunter and Killington were decent, nothing special. Usually try to hit Sugarbush at MLK but not going to do the drive for all man made. Still planning the annual trip to Utah or Wyoming.

I've only been out to my local hill twice, tomorrow will be number three. The weather extremes have been frustrating, but hearing from my friends in CA, I don't want to complain. My first time out was purely groomed man-made to test out my "ski legs." Second time out was the first day of the New Year storm, which was super. Hitting the local hill tomorrow with the aim of having fun doing what I love to do. I won't have a firm opinion on the season until at least mid-February after I've hit areas further north. I do hope it's a good one, as always.

You must have missed Nov then because it was pretty good. Also must have missed 2 years ago when there was no snow.

Streetskier must also be planning on missing March and April then if he feels that winter is 1/2 over ;)

I can see how folks in NoVT can feel that this winter has had issues. It's had issues in SoVT too, but it's also brought a few storms where the VT "Bullseye" has been over SoVT, so I can't complain.

Back to my 75mm waist front side power carvers for a bit, and I'll put the 105mm waist powder skis back into my ski storage closet for the time being until mother nature remembers that it's winter in New England again! :)

I will say with the cold weather, I've been very pleased with the aggressive snowmaking that CBK has done. Was there yesterday and what they had open skied great and everything closed was under the guns. I've been a little bit pickier with my days this season so I've had some good ones with warmer weather, softer snow and less crowds (skied a couple of days just before rainstorms that were real fun, I guess you could say yesterday was one of those). Barring a major tropical meltdown the base should remain in tact during this thaw, to be dusted up when colder air returns. Still on the good ski season band wagon.:snow:

2 more days than last year at the same point... and a bit more variety (4 mountains in 4 different states: Hunter, Camelback, Loon and Stowe). Wish we could get mother nature aligned with sending us moisture when its cold and being dry when its warm versus the other way around. Haven't been able to enjoy the storms as much as I would like so hoping to change that up.

It's been tough to schedule anything with the weather. Every time I make time to go up it ends up raining. Major bummer. The big temperature swings have been a killer.

Exactly - I have missed two planned days because of that! I am determined to get two days in this weekend! My wife is not really up for it because of the expected #ain. My goal is to get out early Sat. to a local mtn and ski til it rains then hit something up on Sunday local as well. This was supposed to be a Sugarbush weekend instead - Gunstock and Ragged.

Meeting/Exceeding expectations, but my expectations from this point on will be higher.

12 days so far, 2 legit powder days, kids not missing a beat, got to ski with my old man once so far, wife likes new skis (happy wife = happy life). Settling into the new mountain, been extremely happy with that so far, being slopeside for the season doesn't hurt.

Looking forward to the remaining 3/4th of the season. Friends come up to visit, visit friends at other mountains. Hopefully Ma nature will be nice to us and we will have some snow in the next few weeks.
