Tirolerpeter Is Going To Utah (Again!)

Two of my buddies who had never skied Utah before going out there with me earlier this January Twisted my arm! today so we are going back out there on the 26th! We collectively decided that the current conditions here in the east were (to be polite) marginal, so for $232 round trip on Jet Blue, we decided to go for it. If any more AZ'rs go out there, we might have to start an "expatriot's" forum. Seriously, if you have the time, and a few bucks, a run out there is really a good deal. It is especially nice if you can arrange to ski on days between Monday to Friday.

can anyone tell me when Solitude, Brighton and Alta typically close? I know snowbird is usually open past Easter.

I am thinking of giving a quick hit Utah trip a shot in early april.

They close sometime in April. Last year I skied closing day at Alta on I think April 20. We got 3 feet overnight! The Bird stays open longer. April has been good to us these past 2 years. Closing day at Alta is a blast by the way. They have a party atop High Rustler. Not sure I would want to ski it after consuming mass quantities though. Steep!
