When I was a teenager, we used to take the small fishing boat at my grandparent's cottage into the swampy part of the lake where wild blueberries grew. Fun to pick (and eat) them with my cousins.

Plans are to eat them. I normally will eat a big bowl in one sitting, and then get rid of it in another sitting

My wife is great at making pirogies, but she's going in for surgery on Tuesday, so don't think that will be happening

Nope no pies or jams. Just do pirogies, but that's a lot of work.

When I was a boy we used to have to walk 50 miles, up hill, each way through blizzards in the mountains and heat waves in the desert everyday to pick our blueberries. They were called smoosh berries in those days though...

Bear, but back in those days it was called Mount Kikicalawanda and it was over 14,000 feet in elevation.

Yeah, and we had to carry our water in hollowed out gourds that we dried ourselves, hiking with bear skins strapped to our feet.

No wonder why i couldnt find it - were a bit behind NJ - not as much as Maine.... cool... i like mine in pancakes... with banana... and bacon...
