The installation crew started the load test for Loon's new lift, 'Tote Road Quad.' Containers were put on each chair, and then filled with water. Only a few more days before South Mountainat Loon is open for business!

yeah, I saw that video before. It was a German company doing a destructive load test. I concluded one thing after viewing: If my lift ever started going that fast, I would be VERY quick to bail no matter how far off the ground I was. I'd rather have some busted bones than entirely discombobulated due to mega-G's....

this kind of thing actually happened at jiminy a while back, while my mother was there. I'll try and find the new story somewhere, but basically, they had the lift going backwards, and the chairs were slamming into the lift house on their way around and falling off, resulting in a pileup of lift chairs, with people in them.
