Disagree. I know several very wide open and NATURAL birch glades all around vermont that will retain powder for days and weeks so long as the temps stay low.

Obviously powder is going to get skied off trails by 10am on a powder day. Same at Western resorts.

I thought when he said trails he was referring to marked runs. If you knew a secret like that I would be thoroughly impressed. I know there a trail or 2 at every mtn that's sees less traffic but I would be surprised to find powder days later.

Right marked runs get skied up after 2-3 hours in the morning. No way around that. Perhaps I mistook what he was saying.

I could show you powder days after a storm at Stowe via side country.
