Anybody got the scoop on the winter(4 sided) shelters at Hojos??? There's 2 right??

If the weather looks OK... I may stay at the shelters next Thursday night... I always stay in open shelters on the far side of the lake... Never on the other...

Dude, you should check out www.timefortuckerman.com they get kinda nasty over there if you only post pics of pow shots, but are a pretty nice group otherwise. ;) If you have any vids of cliff jumps you'll be in good shape... :p

Sorry, couldn't resist...

I love the GD...
Whairnt is a word that means nothing and everything..
We picked it up at Bluegrass festivals... There's a bunch of people called the Whairnt Family that go to the festivals.. They say whairnt a lot...

So it turns out there are 3 shelters that have 4 walls for winter...
I've been in one before - I thought it smelled horible...
May just do the open face shelter and use a tarp...

There is such a tring as being too sealed up, especially with a bunch of guys who have been hiking/skiing all day...

Just bring a gas mask and some air fresheners ;)

When there's a decent amount of snow, the East facing shelters get a big snowdrift in front the helps keep the wind out. I wouldn't consider 4 sides to be a must to be comfortable.

I'm hoping I can get up in March, but I don't think I'll be able to do an over night until April. This will be 21 straight seasons.

I'm not two decades straight - had a couple of years miss in there... :(

I'm hoping for a shelter(I like #2) with a view...
Lets hope the pack settles...
