Windham, Mtn Upper Wipe Out Lots for Sale $895,000. Not sure how this got through the Environmental Impact Statement and all the Save the Mountain people. Is this the norm now building high on the mountain? If you got the money I would buy it and build quick before the tree huggers find out.

Looks like a Tunnel is going to be built under Upper Wipe Out trail.

Already a tunnel under lower wipeout.

Why anyone would ski Windham anymore is beyond me.

Ustabe a nice area where the nice folks raised nice kids and the "crazies" went to Hunter.
Now Windham is nothing but a bunch of plastic people with HUGE entitlement attitudes raising kids that are totally out of control. I would NOT let my kid ski there.

Prolly safer at Hunter these days.

It IS safer at Hunter these days with more "normal" people. Windham has a t-shirt hanging in the lodge for sale that says "the new Aspen". Saw that last winter when my son had a race there. Are they out of there Fracking minds! The place had no base and was crowded as hell. No place to sit for Lunch and most of the people I wanted to hit with a baseball bat....:flame:

I read the title of this thread and thought you were joking about the name until I saw the plans. That would be interesting to say that you owned a condo at the "Upper Wipeout" development. I'm sure folks would do a double take on that one!

Oh please... Windham and Hunter serve different purposes.. I'm SURE Windham is not immune from the Jersey Shore/Staten Island crowd...

Catskills blasts every Catskill ski area thats not Bellayre...

They're spending money locally I'd imagine

that's a good thing, no matter what 'type' of people they are.

Good Point

This is like one of those Political attack adds that just isn't true. DMC on the other would like to see Belleayre not ever build another chair lift, lodge, or ski trail.

For the record, I would like to see Hunter Mtn ski trails expand to near the top top of Hunter Mtn where the fire tower is. Having a ski area in the Catskills with true 2000+ vertical would significantly improve the economics of the Catskills and NY State.

Personally IMHO, I would not like to see houses built up high on the side of any mountain in the Catskills.
