Nice. It's good to have friends in high places.

He used to be just a high friend in low places...

Sounds sweet! I know I don't have to ask, but when you go out there take lots of pics! :)

Solitude's a fine area, but don't forget to ski the other six major areas. Heck, Brighton is just a couple of hundred yards up the hill from solitude. Wait until you experience a "Champagne Powder" dump! I hope I can sell my house before the begining of the 06-07 season and move my butt out there.

I have.. Been out there a couple times..
It's great..

But I think I can squeeze a few days out of Solitude if my friend is patroling there... :)
Local knowledge... Can't beat it..

kinda starting to wish i skied solitude when i was out there, probably would have been skiing powder with no lift lines, instead of long lines and everything tracked out as far as you hiked at alta. Honeycomb canyon looks pretty sick, like how you have to take 3 chair lifts to get back, keeps the traffic down.

DMC you know there adding another HSQ this summer... but it is going only serve the begginer area :(

There's one chair that gets you back but not to the top entrance...

Honycomb Canyon has a cut called "Thar Be Dragons"...
The first day there - I went with a friend who knew the place.. There was well over 2' of fresh snow on the ground.. The roped dropped and everyone went left - we went right and dropped into that line - the snow was waist deep... I felt like a friggin beginner trying to make my way through that stuff... Didn't get a rythym until it got REALLY steep...

As soon as I got to the runout - I adjusted my stance back so I could ride the stuff better...

Mental note... Adjust stance before going to Utah.. Or just ride the Fish the whole time.. :)
