For purposes of discussion, I'm going to propose a delineation of North, central and Southern ski areas in Vermont. Admittedly, the lines are sort of arbitrary. How would you cut it?

LOL. I'm guessing this is stemming from my perception that Sugarbush is a Central Vermont area and not a Northern Vermont area?

While I think of Sugarbush as Northern VT, it's probably because it's closer to some Northern VT ski areas (Bolton, Stowe) than it is Central VT ski areas (Killington, Okemo).

Generally speaking though - Northern VT = North of 89. Southern VT = South of 103/11. Central in between.

#2 is Round Top, Bear Creek or whatever it's called now (I forget). Don't think it opened this year.

Nice place.

I'd say rt. 4 & rt. 2 are the dividing lines although I do think of the Mad River Valley as part of northern VT.
