Date(s) Skied: 1/16, Monday night

Resort or Ski Area: Wachusett Mtn.

Conditions: Loose granular, boiler plate

Trip Report:

Went up to Wachusett Monday solo after stopping by Strand's to pick up the Rossy's and BS with the guys in there for a couple min's. They're big fans of the Legend 8000's, btw.

I skied from about 5 to 9:30. Highlights of the night include:

-Marc skiing for two hours with his suspenders down hanging out his coat

-Marc realizing his ASC pass was in front instead of his Wachusett pass in his window and making a mess of the Minuteman HSQ while Channel 4 Boston decided to tape at that moment for the night

-Marc skiing w/ headphones in and singing aloud on the lift whether a lift mate was present or not

-Marc realizing his hasty dinner of half a box of Wheatables and a king size Snickers produces a significant amount of dry flatulance and passing gas aloud several times on the lift, whether a lift mate was present or not

-Marc falling on his ass after slipping on boiler plate in the crappy moguls

-Marc almost intentionally running down the pimply highschool lift attendent who insisted on scanning Marc's pass every run even though I was one of 20 people skiing the lift at one point and making 6 minute runs w/ lift time included

-Marc looking like a glazed donut after a few runs through the snowmakers, intentionally skiing through the spray to see how white Marc could be (that got some funny looks)

-Marc being mistaken for hitting on some dude's girlfriend in the bar when all Marc wanted was a clear spot to buy a beer, Marc offers to buy alcohol for the couple to diffuse the situation, is turned down

All in all, a fairly productive night. The Holiday traffic was all but gone by the time I got there, just a few straggling renters. The snow was decent on Smith, and I stayed there most of the night. The moguls on Tenth were ugly, I took a few runs and felt good, but they were so icy, they beat up my back and knees. Plus they were blowing snow over them and that got old, real fast.

I have a lot of days like this.

It's like advertising for me though... everyone should want to ski with me, because no matter what I'll make you look good.

This was day number 18 by the way.
