Attended weekly Wednesday Night Race league yesterday. Before and after my runs in the gates I toured around the mountain getting a feel for the conditions. As expected, Tuesday's rain moistened all the snow and Wednesday's freeze turned everything to white ice. Trails that were groomed before the freeze were bullet proof corduroy and those groomed after the freeze had a surface of marble to golf ball sized ice pellets. Snow guns were in full force when I got there at 6pm and were still cranking out the snow when I left at 10pm. I'll bet the mountain will be in good shape today or tomorrow after a second groom and a resurfacing with man made snow.
