Sundown got a solid 12". I would say perhaps as much as 14" (I left my yard stick at home...).Zand said:With a report of 14", Wachusett left the highest reported snowfall today. 2nd was Nashoba at 13" and 3rd was Jiminy at 11".
Too bad only 7 trails are officially open. That surprises me. I've seen them open their natural snow trails with just 18", but that was an actual 18" day. Based on all the other reports in the area, I would guess 18" is bit of a stretch. That area seems to get more snow than surrounding spots so I guess it's possible. Best mountain in southern NE for natural snow runs. I suspect that many of the "closed" natural runs will be poached today. They sometimes marked their closed trails with signs and not normally ropes.marcski said:The BEAST - - - Reporting 14-18" of new for their opening day today!.
