I skied in jeans for years because I couldn't afford ski pants... :)

Yeah dmc me too. My thought was that jeans would be more waterproof than bugle boys. Plus I only has one pair of bugle boys and I would be damned if I ruined them.

My first non-jean ski pants were a pair of nylon sport pants. The cuffs barely fit over the tops of my boots. It was the first time I was comfortable skiing. They made pretty good ski pants aside from not being very waterproof. Much better than jeans. Every once in a while you'll see someone tearing it up in jeans, not the norm for sure.

Nothing new about denim looking ski pants, i've seen them featured in ski mags off and on for years and before Burton became a player.

…on the flip side i feel like a douche wearing goretex pants on dry machine made groomer days. So, now that i'm in black friday shopping mode i found Marmot's line of closer fitting soft-shell stretch pants with built in gators. Decided to get them, we'll see how they work out. I went for the lighter model, http://marmot.com/products/details/blackcomb-pant, not sure if i should've ordered the heavier weight model, http://marmot.com/products/details/flexion-softshell-pant Anyone here try these?

The ones Mattchuck2 posted are goretex printed to look like jeans. However, they have ones now that are actually waterproofed denim. I saw them at a local shop over the weekend. They seem like they'd be too heavy and stiff to be comfortable.
