Another nice hill for my first ever visit. Hit it at 50 degrees and sunny, must be living a charmed life. Snow was more mashed potatoes than fluff like yesterday. But the main story today - we had one of those rare "thank you for what I have" experiences that left pits in my stomach - (good pits). We arrived to find a tent with dozens of wheelchairs just sitting in the snow. Throughout the day we had disabled skiers zipping by us, under us, and around us. Ever get blown away by a guy with one leg skiing on one ski? I give them all the credit in the world. And the technology given to them should be commended also. Most were out there solo and get on and off the lifts alone. Great stuff. It happened to be the disabled championships. So we were witnessing some of the best there are, and it was awsome. Met a few racers after the race, talking like their disability doesn't exist. Inspiring. Waterville rocked.
