November 1st is 3 months and 3 days away, which is around when the early birds start blowing snow for the season. Let's hope for a cold October and maybe we'll see some early openings.

a nice thought, but not a chance. kmart won't be opening until nov 10th the earliest, weather permitting. some upstart will likely try to edge them out by a day or too. but the days of early openings are sadly ovah.Let's hope for a cold October and maybe we'll see some early openings.

Does that count ferry time also. :wink:For us it is about a 1.5 hour drive, alot for a few turns.

I've actually never been to Woodbury, the folks here at work tell me its not even worth the 15 minute drive... Maybe if they open early this year I'll swing down. IIRC the price was kinda steep for a little 150' patch of snow last year though...
To me it is but then again I live on an Island.dmc said:bvibert said:loafer89 said:For us it is about a 1.5 hour drive, alot for a few turns.

Yes...Long Island did have a very small ski area back in the 80's but it was small. I think they closed due to the lack of snow. To bad It would have done well the last few years.

loafer89 said:That is because you live right next to a big ski area. When you live on Long Island your options and chances for good skiing become much more limited.
