This year's version of [thread="17364"]this thread[/thread]. I'm looking forward to a lot of things this season:
  • Sundown bumps and mogul comps
  • Visiting Stowe and Whiteface for the first time
  • Skiing the MRV
  • Early season at Mount Snow
  • Hitting Magic and Berkshire East after a dump
  • Skiing with AZers
  • But like last year, I'm most anxious to see my oldest daughter progress on skis again this season. I also plan to start my youngest in the spring.
You?

Quite a few things (in spite of my current anxiety):
  • getting my daughter out to really ski this year
  • getting my son onto skis for the first time (knowing he won't be doing much skiing, but will be out)
  • skiing with Brian, something I did very little of last season
  • MRG and (if I can make it work financially) ABasin again
  • trying the bumps for real this year
  • watching Brian in the mogul comps @ Sundown
  • just getting out into that fresh, cold air and enjoying my Zen

Uh,.. Skiing!! Seriously that's my goal! I'll be happy if I get more days than last season. Hopefully an AZ trip or two, other than Sundown. Looking forward to my 5 yo starting skiing this year. Icing on the cake would be MRV!

- Skiing at least 8 days in Vermont, which I didn't do at all last year and minimally the two previous seasons
- Returning to Pico for the first time in 20 years, returning to MRG for the first time since 2000-2001, skiing Burke for the first time
- Being in the best shape I've been in for the start of a season in the past ten years
- Hopefully meeting more Azers

Getting up the mountain weekly
Watching my wife improve and enjoy the sport
Getting my jumping legs back

*Edit:
I think my wife and I are secretly hoping to get stuck up in VT during a big snow storm. "Uh oh...better stay here tonight...too bad to drive back..let's call out...and we'll ski in the fresh tomorrow"

I'm going to guess that if you actually do the goo, you can probably take the "at least" part out...

you're a sick dude, MrMagic! My 5yo will be there on Sundays thru January. I'm sure even he'll get bored!!

You gotta give him a guided tour.

Ok, 245 feet of terror. That should take about 5 minutes, then what? Crazy part is, they could seed some bumps, and I'd probably buy a pass!
