Leave the straps around my wrists and let them dangle. Never drop them this way.

"Okat class, Hold both poles by the middle with your inside hand, look over your outside shoulder for the frame of the chair. Grab the frame with your outside hand and sit down."

After I bring the bar down I lay my poles accross the back of the chair to the top of the bar and use them as an arm rest.

i do that also, a variation a friend showed me at taos long ago. that said even though i may be setting myself up here, i do all kinds of pole holding (i didn't just write that) as long as you have a grip (please shut me up) and don't f up, you can fix or coordinate anything. including putting poles under my ass. (done!) next thread.

I always stick them between my legs as the chair comes around and sit on them as I'm sitting down on the chair.

I usually stick them under a leg and sit on them unless the chair is full/tight. Usually, I don't like to place my poles while sitting down on the chair, unless I am riding solo. So on a full chair, I will usually hold both poles in one hand and have the grip align with my elbow.
