What is Skier Cross?

Hi...I just started Alpine Skiing this year. Have been X-Country for years but started to get interested in the Alpine sports.

What exactly is a Ski-Cross ski? When doing window shopping I see that many brands offer a particular line called Ski Cross...such as Atomic SX series etc..

How does a Ski Cross differ from any other type of ski such as a midfat etc?

skier cross is an event in the x games where 4 racers go head to head done a course with jumps turns and rollers, for the skiers i dont really know what they are, probably a good faster carving ski that can take getting lots of air.

I have a pair of Dynastar SkiCross 66's ... basically an all mountain type of ski
